February 12, 2025 MPAC Award Ceremony

Duxbury Police Department participates in the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Program (MPAP), therefore, every three (3) years, the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission (MPAC) inspects our policies and procedures as well as our operations and facilities. The MPAP consists of 257 mandatory standards and 125 optional standards. In order for the department to achieve accreditation status, we must meet all mandatory standards and at least 55% of optional standards. This program is a self-initiated process by which all departments involved strive to meet and maintain standards that have been established by the profession, for the profession. Achieving Accreditation is a highly prized recognition of law enforcement professional excellence. The Duxbury Police Department first achieved Certification on May 20, 2005 followed by becoming fully Accredited on June 1, 2006.

If you have any questions regarding recruiting, training, or accreditation contact the Professional Standards Sergeant.
