Property & Evidence

The property and evidence unit handles all property that comes in and out of the department whether that is found property or evidence from a crime. Items are brought in by patrol officers or detectives, logged in, and secured in the evidence room. Storage, security, and property tracking are the main tasks of Officers assigned to the property and evidence unit.

The property and evidence unit also runs the Prescription Drug Disposal Program. The goal of this program is to promote safe disposal of prescription medications to prevent misuse and ensure these items stay out of our water system.
