Stolen Vehicle Recovered - Arrest Made

Duxbury Officers arrested the operator of a stolen vehicle Tuesday night. Officer Riley Mackin observed a blue Kia sedan stopped in the intersection of Tremont St. and Enterprise St. Upon investigating, Officer Mackin discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen from a Quincy MBTA parking lot earlier in the evening. Officer Mackin further determined that the operator of the Kia, Thomas WASHINGTON, age 52, of 21 Percival St. in Dorchester, was intoxicated. After a brief attempt to resist being handcuffed, Washington was placed under arrest and brought to the station for booking. Washington will be charged with Receiving Stolen Property, Using a Motor Vehicle without Authority, Operating with a Suspended License, Operating Under the Influence of Alcohol, and Malicious Damage to a Motor Vehicle.
