South Shore communities have joined the network of support that is connecting across Plymouth County to help individuals with substance use disorders access treatment and support. The South Shore Peer Recovery office in Scituate Harbor is hosting a regular Drop-In Center, the third in Plymouth County, Saturdays from 9:00am-12:00pm weekly. Friends, family members, and individuals from all communities are welcome to meet with trained Peer Support Specialists and professional treatment providers regarding treatment, insurance, sober housing, recovery supports, or any questions related to substance use disorders. Staff will be available to assist individuals trying to initiate treatment immediately. In addition, on the first Saturday of each month only, a Health Promotion Advocate from Manet Community Health will be on hand for opioid overdose prevention training and naloxone kits. All services are free and confidential. The South Shore Peer Recovery office and resource room is located at 50 Cole Parkway in Scituate Harbor, on the second floor. Parking in the municipal lot.
