Driver Seriously Injured in Single Car Crash

Duxbury, MA – 7/24/2019

At 11pm on July 24, 2019 Duxbury Police Officers responded to a 911 call reporting a motor vehicle crash at the Kingstown Way rotary.

Preliminary investigation by Officer John Mann indicates that 30 year old, Scott Kelly of Pembroke was traveling at a very high rate of speed, estimated at 65+ in a 40mph zone on Kingstown Way when he passed another vehicle. A witness stated the vehicle locked up its brakes at the rotary and drove up and over the center of the rotary. The vehicle then rolled over and landed in the front yard of a home on the other side of the rotary. Mr. Kelly was not wearing a seatbelt and was partially ejected from the car resulting in serious injuries. Mr. Kelly will be facing several motor vehicle charges.
