Remembering Duxbury Assistant Harbormaster Joe O'Brien

We are sad to announce that Joe O'Brien passed away peacefully Sunday, December 18, 2016 surrounded by loved ones. Joe was a retired Needham Police detective and was on numerous task forces throughout the state. Joe proudly served on the bank robbery task force, Northstar, Metrostar, Norpac, SWAT, anti crime drug task force, investigative support and child abduction response team, and as a hostage negotiator. Joe was an original Metro ISU member and played a crucial role in the development and implementation of CART prior to his retirement two years ago. Joe joined Duxbury Harbormaster in 2014 and loved going to work. Joe cherished Duxbury and its beautiful landscapes.

Visiting hours will be Wednesday December 21st, from 4-8PM at Eaton Funeral home in Needham.
