Duxbury Police Participating in the Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over Statewide Mobilization

To reduce impaired driving, the Executive Office of Public Safety and Security's Highway Safety Division (EOPSS-HSD) has a statewide campaign called: Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over. This campaign coordinates extra state and local traffic enforcement, paid and earned media, and community education during the 2016 mobilization period from August 12, 2016 - September 5, 2016. The Duxbury Police are committed to making our roads safe and are participating in this mobilization.

Drunk driving is a deadly epidemic that takes the lives of more than 10,000 people each year, on average. There were 328 motor vehicle-related fatalities in Massachusetts in 2014. 38% of these deaths involved alcohol-impaired driving where the BAC (blood alcohol content) of a driver was .08 or higher.
