Chief Clancy elected President of the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission

"Duxbury Police Chief Matthew M. Clancy was recently elected president of the Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission. Clancy has been a member of the Commission since 2010 and was elected vice president in 2013, a seat he has held since then. Clancy replaces Chief Mark Leahy of Northborough, who stepped down as president upon his retirement from law enforcement. The Massachusetts Police Accreditation Commission, formerly a state agency, became a non-profit professional organization in 2004 after state budget cuts eliminated funding for it in 2003.
