Harbormaster Division

The Harbormaster Division's overall goal is to provide safe and appropriate access to our bay, shore, and natural resources which is carried out through education, presence, and enforcement. 


There are three main units within the Harbormasters Division; The Marine Unit, Beach Unit, and Natural Resources Unit. 

The Marine Unit's function is to provide marine patrol, search and rescue, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and access management.  The Beach Unit's function is to provide endangered species protection, access management, shore patrol, search and rescue, emergency medical services, law enforcement, and environmental protection. The Natural Resources Unit's function is to provide natural resource and environmental protection and management, law enforcement, access control, resource management, and education.
