COMMUNITY ACTION TEAMS!

Chief Mark DeLuca and the Duxbury Police Department are pleased to announce the creation of a new program that encourages communication among the police, residents and business owners of Duxbury.  We have asked a volunteer from each of the six voting precincts, the business community, the interfaith council, and the senior community to establish Community Action Teams or C.A.T.  The volunteers or "team leaders" have been be charged with creating a network within their own area of the community.  The team leaders will also act as liaisons between their community and the Police Department.

Residents are encouraged to contact their team leaders with problems, ideas, or suggestions. This program is designed to foster an open and informal line of communication between the community and their Police Department, it is not designed to supplant the existing system for reporting crimes or other emergencies. Crimes or other emergencies should be reported by calling 911.
